Time is of the Essence (2024)

Time is of the Essence is a short dance film exploring  a contrast of vintage and modern and slow and fast paced, experimenting with the “essence” of “time.” The film is a mixture of unserious and playful, jazzy and sarcastic adjacent to a tone of allure and suspense. This film creates a “corporate fantasy vibe,” playing with the idea of the American Dream and the idea of “leisure.” Inspired by the dance aesthetic of Fred Astaire and the unsettling surrealism of the Twilight Zone.
